Mission

The mission of the Endowment Fund Trustees is to independently manage the Endowment Fund in support of Summit’s future.

Objectives & Responsibilities

• Provide prudent and responsible oversight of the Fund’s management and investments.
• Provide oversight of Fund distributions.
• Report to the Board and Congregation the status of the Fund.
• Educate the congregation about benefits and purpose of the Fund.
• Represent the Endowment Fund’s interests on the gift acceptance process
• Conduct systematic review of processes associated with oversight of the Fund.
• Work in concert with other related committees.

General measurable Goals 2021 – 2025

1. Compare Endowment Fund returns with comparable investments opportunities & inform Board of results.
2. Review Endowment Fund Agreement, and recommend/implement necessary improvements.
3. Review accounting procedures, and recommend/implement necessary improvements.
4. Recommend whether a distribution from property improvement portion of endowment should be recommended and inform Board.
5. Present annual report at spring Congregational Meeting.
6. Cooperate with Planned Giving Committee’s informational activities.
