Mission

The mission of the Welcoming and Membership Committee is to lead the Fellowship in promoting and maintaining a welcoming environment for members and visitors.

Objectives

• Assure that visitors are greeted and welcome.
• Guide newcomers to participation and membership.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere and space for people to seek and find what they want from a spiritual committee.

Responsibilities

• Exchange relevant information with the office administrator and DRE.
• Participate in and invite people to the Prospective Member Orientations and New Member Recognition ceremonies.
• Facilitate contacts with visitors and newcomers by organizing and supervising Greeters and Visitor Hosts.
• Establish procedures by which a person becomes a member of the Fellowship in accordance with the bylaws.
• Facilitate integration of new members into the congregation.
• Assure that financial and pledging information is included in the membership process.
