Mission

The committee mission statement is “The Campus Improvement Committee considers the applicability and priority of any work project which will improve the safety and function of the Summit campus.

Objectives

• To limit consideration of proposals for campus improvement projects to those not otherwise already addressed by the board, staff, current budget line allocations, or other committees.
• To consider proposals with regard to costs, and the most appropriate funding stream for any particular project.
• To use a competitive bid process for deciding which contractor is offered to execute an improvement project job at Summit.

Responsibilities

• To rank possible projects in order of priority and feasibility.
• To send information and request for expenditures from appropriate funding sources to the Board of Directors for their advisement and/or approval.
• To confer with office administrator and the finance committee on existing budget line options for payment of approved projects.
• To follow up with progress of projects, and notify all appropriate parties of expected completion dates.

General Goals 2021 – 2025

1. Continue to meet as needed to consider ongoing campus needs including building repairs and remodeling, landscaping, irrigation, AC units, etc.
2. Continue to emphasize safety and accessibility in all deliberations.
3. Incorporate enhanced cleaning protocols  throughout the campus.
