In the European “Dark Ages”–a term which many scholars now consider unnecessarily pejorative—the crumbling of empire led to intellectual stagnation, social fragmentation and widespread ignorance. What can communities of faith and good will do to stem the tides of social regression that are now emerging? How do we, bearers of the flaming chalice, ward and share the light of love, wisdom and planetary stewardship with the world?
