April’s theme is “Embracing Possibility”

April 19: “Si, Se Puede” Rev KC Marie Pandell

Sometimes life can feel pretty impossible — especially when things don’t come as simply or naturally as we think they should. How might the concept of success be holding us back? What if the point of life wasn’t about succeeding, but doing the hard things well, even if not perfectly?

Part of the history of Unitarian Universalism includes the tradition of “freedom of the pulpit,” which is the opportunity for preaching from the heart, mind, and conscience, without fear of reprisal or censorship, alongside which comes the freedom of the pew: where congregants may respond in kind.

What does this mean for us as a faith community, and how might is shape the way we show up in the world, especially in times of great change?
