One doesn’t have to become a Buddhist to benefit from some of the Buddha’s teachings.  Rev. Arvid, who has had a Buddhist practice for more than 40 years will share some of the teachings that help make life better. 

About the Speaker:

Rev. Dr. Arvid Straube has been a parish minister for 35 years in Washington State, North Carolina and, most recently, as the Lead Minister of the First UU Church of San Diego. He earned a Master of Arts degree at the University of Chicago Divinity School and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Meadville Lombard Theological School. Since leaving parish ministry Rev. Arvid has pursued a ministry of spiritual direction, teaching and preaching.
