Coming of Age Celebration Service: Coming of Age, (COA), is the Unitarian Universalist rite of passage experience that our youth can choose to participate in as they grow into adulthood. This past year, Summit UU Fellowship and First UU Church of San Diego have partnered together to create a very unique COA experience for some of our youth. We met virtually and in person over the past year as each youth worked with a mentor to explore their personal values and beliefs. At this service our COA youth will share their individual reflections about their experiences and identities as UU’s as both congregations witness and celebrate who each of them is becoming.
