Born in the UUA – Part One: Why Do They Leave?

Most people come to Unitarian Universalism as adults, seeking something that was missing in their childhood religion. It is rare to encounter an adult who grew up in the UU faith, but there are some Raised UUs, even at Summit. We’ll hear from Katie Boskoff, a Raised UU, share about her childhood UU experiences and what drew her back after an absence. We’ll hear about suggested reasons why kids leave their UU childhood faith and ask if these reasons are unique to Unitarian Universalism.

In a few weeks, on August 1st, we will hear from three other Raised UUs, who stayed, and explore ways to keep connected in this faith community UU youth who are transitioning into adulthood.
