Unitarian Universalism’s Flower Communion is a tradition that welcomes in the new life of spring, and allows gentle farewells to the congregational year. Its roots go deeper, however, reaching back into WWII, and the bloom of hope against the perils of authoritarianism. Today, we honor the communion’s past, and consider how it can continue to bring hope in today’s climate, in this inter-generational service.
Please feel free to share flowers (from your own garden, Trader Joe’s, or wherever you feel moved).
