Aunt Li-Anne takes a look at pluralism through a Traditional Story Lens. What’s the difference between “A Melting Pot” and Stone Soup? If everyone decides that their own contribution is unimportant what does that do to the community?  A Bhutanese Story gives us a chance to see that we can work together while valuing all our differences.

Li-Anne Rowswell Mufson, wears many hats in her current life, including an actual flowered hat when she tells stories to young kids. She has lived in Vista for 27 years and is an actor, Professional Storyteller, Teaching Artist, and Holistic Health Practitioner/herbalist. Li-Anne has been a member of the Palomar UU Fellowship since 2006. She is a member of the UUnrecorded Divas singing group for more than 10 years, and is occasionally in the choir. Li-Anne has served as Chair, and is still on the membership committee (in charge of ushers, name tags, and greeting.)   She co-chairs the SCRIP fundraising program and has served as a Coming-of-Age Mentor. She also chaired the UU Christian affiliate group (now on indefinite hiatus). During her time at PUUF, Aunt Li-Anne has been on the auction committee, told many stories to our folks of all ages , and generally tries to fill a need wherever she notices one and can find the space in her rich and full life.
