Sunday Café in the Salon at Summit

Thank you for hosting the Sunday Café in the Salon. Your hospitality and generosity is truly appreciated.

Set Up:

Coffee takes 40 minutes to brew. Plugs are a problem so please do not plug all three pots in the same area. Coffee prep instructions are above the deep sink on the left hand side of the kitchen wall. Please use the amount of coffee specified. Supplies are in the cabinets and drawers, just look around and read labels. All non-perishable condiments should be left on the orange trays on the table.

  • 4-5 pitchers of ice water and glasses should be set out on the condiment table, not on the food table.
  • If you would like the room set in conversation groups, please feel free to arrange the chairs and small tables as you wish. These will need to be restacked against the wall when you are finished.
  • Use the 2-3 tables in the center of the room for the food. Water pitchers go on the condiment table. Napkins are in the lower cupboards as well as our white dessert plates and regular dinner plates. Plastic utensils (forks, etc.) in marked drawer and cabinet below.

Clean-Up:

Please do not leave any food in the fridge without labels that show date or intended use. Any unlabeled or out of date foods will be discarded.

All utensils/dishes used should be washed and put away. Hang damp dishtowels on the oven handle or across the countertops to dry. If you are inclined, take them home to launder and return them the next Sunday.

Plastic table covers wiped clean.
Coffee pots to be emptied and washed, ready for the next use. UNPLUG THEM. Room Set-Up upon leaving:

  • Coffee cart against the wall
  • Small tables and chairs stacked against the wall
  • Food tables in the center of the room
  • Condiment table toward the back windows
  • Empty trash cans –The trash area gate nearest the Salon is unlocked. The gate on the driveway side is usually locked.
  • Bring in umbrellas, tables and chairs, check and LOCK ALL DOORS.
