Part of the history of Unitarian Universalism includes the tradition of “freedom of the pulpit,” which is the opportunity for preaching from the heart, mind, and conscience, without fear of reprisal or censorship, alongside which comes the freedom of the pew: where congregants may respond in kind.
What does this mean for us as a faith community, and how might is shape the way we show up in the world, especially in times of great change?
